美国俚语:No horse play in the house 什么意思?

新邻居Smith太太请我们全家参加她４岁女儿的生日聚会。我们买了礼物带女儿前往。
她家的房子和院子都很大，屋内外挂满了彩色的气球，地板上、院子里有各种充气的、电动的玩具。孩子们开心地跑来跑去。
我一看，我的女儿正坐在一旁，玩一个充气木马。……我赶快告诉她把木马拿到院子里，不要在房间里玩。
但是后来才搞明白，“no horse play in the house”的意思其实是“不要在房间里乱跑”。呵呵，真是虚惊一场。
