时尚新宠“微博”用英语怎么表达

　　“微博”这个词从去年开始可谓是大红大紫。从国外大名鼎鼎的Twitter到国内博客巨头新浪的跟风，微博着实火了一把！中国的网民都亲切把“微博”叫成“围脖”，而它的英文你知道该怎么说吗？

　　有的小盆友可能会以为：Twitter不就是微博的意思吗？

　　但小编要说明的是，Twitter严格说来还是一个网站的名称。当然，在实在不知道“微博”这词儿的时候你把twitter搬出来，老外也能明白你的意思。不过微博的准确表达确实不是twitter。来看看维基百科对它的解释吧：

　　Twitter is a free social networking and microblogging service that enables its users to send and read messages known as tweets。

　　由此，我们知道微博的标准英文应该是：microblog或者tweets。来用最近超热门的胡锦涛同志开博事件造个句：

　　由此可见，“博主”就是author，有时也被称为sender；而博主的追随者则被称为follower。
