　　In Shanghai, the annual Lujiazui Financial Forum1, held by China’s top financial regulators, kicks off Thursday. The forum serves as a barometer2 for China’s financial market, and top policy makers3 are gathering4 to discuss the country’s ongoing5 reforms.

　　This year’s theme is financial reform and market open-up. The agenda ranges from financial innovations, capital account opening, freer interest rates, of course, the current liquidity6 squeeze. On Friday, the first day session for the forum, Chinese central bank governor Zhou Xiaochuan will deliver a speech about view on the economy.

　　The vice7 chairman of China’s top securities market regulator, Zhuang Xin, will also speak at the event. On Saturday, the chairman of China’s banking8 watchdog, Shang Fulin, and the chairman of China’s insurance regulatory arm, Xiang Junbo, will give their speeches.
