英语口语-Swing by順道過來

　　美剧中会经常听到这句的哦~~相当于pass by/stop in，表示“顺道过来”。例如：

　　I’ll swing by later.

　　我待会再来。

　　get into the swing of things: 适应环境。

　　这一表达法想要表达的最初意思是：周围的环境像钟摆一样有一定的节奏，要使自己的节奏与周遭的节奏合拍。换句话说，就是“熟悉环境、适应环境”。在美国生活的中国人常常有这种感觉：

　　I enjoyed my new life in America, but somehow I just couldn’t seem to get into the swing of things.

　　我喜欢我在美国的新生活，但是，不知为什么，似乎总有不能适应环境的感觉。

　　New employees¹ are usually allowed a few months to get into the swing of things before they are given any serious responsibilities².

　　新来的工作人员在担负重要工作任务之前，公司总是给他几个月的时间适应环境。

　　如果你正处在“正在适应”的状态可以用be in the swing of things来表达。例如：

　　I needn’t have worried about my new life at university. I was in the swing of things before I knew it.

　　我对学校的新生活有过不必要的忧虑。其实，在不知不觉间，我就逐步适应环境了。

　　be in full swing: 达到高潮

　　其适用范围很广，因此根据上下文可以译为“正在高潮，上了轨道，达到鼎盛”。比如：

　　By the time we arrived, the party was in full swing.

　　我们到达的时候聚会正在高潮。

　　China and America have started a new cultural exchange program, but it won’t be in full swing until next year.

　　中国和美国开始执行一个新的文化交流计划，但是明年才能步入正轨。

　　get into full swing: 充分活跃起来

　　Business won’t get into full swing until next month when the new president has been selected.

　　在下月选出新董事长之前，公司的营业是不会全面展开的。
