时间:2014-01-14 13:23:53

(单词翻译:单击)

Did you see your paycheck getting significantly bigger in the past year? If the answer is yes, first congratulations. Either your employer appreciates your work or it could be that you simply work on the Chinese mainland. According to a report released by the recruitment firm Hays, average salary increases here on the mainland were higher than in other countries and regions in Asia throughout 2013. And that includes Singapore, Hong Kong Special Administrate Region and Japan.

For some expert analysis, we are joined in the studio by Liu Baocheng, Dean of the Center for International Business Ethics1 at the University of International Business and Economics.

Q1: No employee objects to a pay rise, that’s for certain.. but what will pay rises across the board here in China mean for businesses and the Chinese economy?

Q2: Certainly not all jobs pay the same. In what sectors2 are we mostly like to see wages stagnate3 and rise significantly in the coming years?
