　　put somebody through the wringer 直译过来就是“让某人到绞肉机或榨汁机里去”，这个短语的真正意思是“使某人受尽折磨，使某人折磨一番”。因此当美国人说:"You are really put through the wringer at your job interview."时，他要表达的意思就是:"You are really bothered by your job interview."、"The job interview really made you tired."。
