Multi-country maritime1 drills are being held off the coast of the eastern Chinese city of Qingdao. This is the first time China's People's Liberation Army navy organizes multilateral maritime exercises.
Nineteen ships, seven helicopters and marine2 corps3 from eight countries were organized into three task forces for the exercises, dubbed4 "Maritime Cooperation - 2014."
