Leaders from around the world are extending their best New Year wishes to the Chinese people.

"I would like to send my best wishes to the people of China from the snowy Finland, the Home of the Santa Claus. I wish you a happy Chinese New Year," said Sauli Niinisto, Finnish President.

"Dear Chinese friends, on behalf of the government and the people of Denmark, I wish you a very happy new year. Xin Chun Kuai Le," said Helle Thorning-schmidt, Danish Prime Minister.

"Let me extend my best wishes to all the people around the globe, celebrating the Chinese New Year," said Stefan Lofven, Swedish Prime Minister.

French President Francois Hollande said the Spring Festival is not only a great occasion in China, but also in France. And the Governor-General of Australia Peter Cosgrove wished Chinese people good health and happiness in the Lunar New Year, while the country's Prime Minister Tony Abbott sent a greeting letter to Australia's Chinese community.
