"When it rains during the night or day time, the first thing I do is wake up and put my children up on a double-decker bed because it floods."
The government has earmarked 10 million US dollars but says it could launch an appeal if disaster strikes.
Uganda's disaster minister Musa Ecweru warns the money available may not be enough.
"Partners are willing to support the government of Uganda because they know the so many challenges that we are going through. They know we are doing so many things at the same time and all those things are competing for our limited resource
envelop3."
People living in high risk areas like slopes of hills or
swampy4 places have been advised to relocate to safe places.
The
ministry5 of health is also preparing to d dispatch drugs to health facilities across the country incase
sanitation6 breaks down.
The UN warns the rainstorms could impact on a bigger part of the African continent.
