1．BP officials say they expect to know Friday whether the latest effort will contain the Gulf oil spill. Works have been continuing undersea for days now, still officials say if this works, they'll be cleaning up the Gulf for some time.

2. Arizona Governor Jan Brewer says she and President Obama had found common ground in the issue of immigration. Her state has come under fire for its tough new law. After a White House meeting today she says they agree to work together on the solution.

3. Chilean police has detained a former suspect on the Natalee Holloway case, who's wanted in connection with the murder of a woman in Peru. Polices say Joran van der Sloot was taken into custody Thursday.

4. Major League Baseball Commissioner Bud Selig says he will not overturn Umpire Jim Joyce's blown call on last night's Tigers game that cost pitcher Armando Galarraga a perfect game.
