2. A setback has more oil gushing into the Gulf. A BP spokesman says crews had removed the cap which has been limiting the oil flow after a robot bumped a venting system. BP says crews will put the cap back onto the damaged well as quickly as possible.

3. A magnitude-5.0 earthquake struck the Ontario-Quebec border region of Canada on Wednesday. The tremor sent people running during a news conference in Ottawa.

4. The US advances to the second round of the World Cup with a win over Algeria. England also advances after beating Slovenia.
