3. Iran's state TV says seven people are dead, another 33 injured, after a 6.5 magnitude quake struck southeastern Iran. The quake struck in a small sparsely populated town.
4. Stargazers got something special to look at overnight - a total eclipse of the moon. It started around 1:30 and lasted until 3 am. This lunar eclipse happened on the same day as the winter solstice, the first time that's happened since 1638. |
