2. An Ohio homeless man whose silky voice made him a media darling is headed to rehab for alcohol and drug dependency. Ted Williams agreed to enter rehab after an interview on Dr. Phil. The 53-year-old Williams found instant fame after the Columbus Dispatch posted a Web video of him.

3. Power outages are still a problem in the northeast as things start to get back to normal following Wednesday's nor'easter. The monster storm dumped up to 30 inches of snow in western parts of Massachusetts. The situation at Logan Airport in Boston is improving as weather conditions improve.

4. Mudslides have devastated a number of mountain towns in Brazil, killing more than 280 people and leaving dozens missing. The death toll could rise as rescuers reach remote valleys and steep mountainsides where entire neighborhoods have been destroyed.
