CAIRO, Feb. 14 (Xinhua) -- Arab League Secretary-General Amr Moussa said Monday he intends to nominate himself in Egypt's coming presidential elections, Al Arabia TV reported.
Moussa said he will devote the coming months to his presidential campaign(运动,战役) after leaving his post in the Arab League in March. According to Al Arabia TV, he has prepared a campaign plan focusing on the principles of law, democracy and human rights.
Moussa hailed on Friday the Egyptian revolution in which President Hosni Mubarak stepped down as protests hit the country for more than two weeks.
Moussa said earlier that it was too early to talk about the presidential elections. "As an Egyptian citizen, I've the honor to serve my country in any post and it is time help in forming a consensus of opinions," he said.(本文由在线英语听力室整理编辑) |
