Dialogue A
Eva just called Steve on the phone.
Eva:Hey, Steve. It's Eva. Did you hear about your naughty girlfriend?
Steve:What did she do now?
Eva:Do you know where she was last night?
Steve:She told me she was studying at the library.
Eva:I know that she was at a KTV and made a fool of herself with her terrible singing.
Steve:Don't play me for a fool. That's exactly why Julie never goes to KTVs.
Eva:That's not all, Steve. Are you sitting down?
Dialogue B
Steve:Yeah. What's the problem?
Eva:She was there with Carl, the guy you hate.
Steve:What?
Eva:And they were fooling around.
Steve:Really? My lovely Julie? The one who I truly love?
Eva:I'm just fooling. Happy April Fools' Day. Julie is right here.
Julie:Hi, honey. Sorry about that. I thought it would be amusing to trick you.
Steve:That's not funny! I want to break it off with you.
Julie:What? No, no...
Steve:Happy April Fools' Day to you, too. See you soon, darling.
