Last Sunday, I went fishing with my father. Once we got to the dock, we started preparing everything we needed. However, putting worms on the fish hooks was the last thing that I wanted to do. I thought worms were disgusting so I asked my father to do me a favor and put one on for me.

Later on, we walked over to the lake and started fishing. I waited and waited but my fishing rod stood still. Soon, I felt so bored that I actually fell asleep. My father woke me up and told me to be patient.

Suddenly, something tugged hard at my fishing rod and it almost slipped out of my hands. I finally got control of the rod and was surprised. What I caught was a toilet seat instead of a fish. At that moment, I realized how seriously the water had been polluted.

上周日，我和爸爸去钓鱼。我们一到码头就开始准备所需的一切用具。但是，把虫勾到鱼钩上是我最不想做的事。我觉得虫很恶心，所以我请爸爸帮我勾。

稍后，我们走到湖边开始钓鱼。我等了又等，但是我的钓竿依然没有动静。我很快就无聊到睡着了。爸爸把我叫醒，并告诉我要有耐心。

突然间，有东西猛力拉扯我的钓竿，钓竿几乎要从我的手中滑掉了。我最后总算控制住钓竿，却也吓了一跳。我钓到的是一个马桶座，而不是鱼。那时，我才了解到湖水污染有多严重了。
