1. President Obama devoted most of his State of the Union address to the economy. He said creating jobs will require new investments in education, research and infrastructure. The GOP response called for deep federal spending cuts to get the deficit under control.

2. Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords will be moved to a rehabilitation hospital in Houston today. Giffords' condition was also upgraded to good from serious. Doctors had to drain excess fluid from Giffords' brain after she was moved from Tucson to Houston.

3. Toyota is recalling 1.7 million cars worldwide. The recall is for various defects that may cause fuel leakage. The range of models includes the IS and GS Lexuses in North America and the Avensis sedan and station wagon models in Europe.

4. And a surprise addition to a California zoo. Keepers say a giraffe they didn't even know was pregnant gave birth two weeks ago. Daniel, the calf, already weighs in at more than 100 pounds and is nearly six feet tall.
