3. At least 14 people were killed in this horrific bus crash in New York. The tour bus was returning from a casino when it

drove off the highway and hit a pole that sheared the vehicle in two.

4. The NFL confirmed it has locked out the players. In a statement Saturday morning, the league called the action a difficult but necessary step. It also blamed the union for abandoning bargaining and called for an immediate return to negotiation.
