1. More problems at a troubled Japanese nuclear plant. Officials say two workers were hospitalized after stepping in contaminated water and suffering radiation burns. Meanwhile city leaders are trying to reassure Tokyo residents that tap water is safe after high iodine levels were reported.

2. Israeli warplanes have struck Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip early Thursday. The attacks are retaliation for rocket attacks on Israeli cities and the first bombing in Jerusalem in several years. The Palestinian authority reported no injuries.

3. Aviation officials say two flights landed at Reagan National Airport near Washington without the help of the control tower because the air traffic supervisor was asleep. The pilots were in communication with a regional air traffic control facility about 40 miles away. The planes were able to land safely. An investigation is now underway.

4. And an amazing rescue in the aftermath of the Japanese tsunami. A man found a porpoise washed up more than a mile inland. He was able to wrap it up and take it back to the sea. The porpoise reportedly swam away with no issues.
