As forensic officers continue their work outside the house where the Ding family lived, detectives release details of the man wanted in connection with their murders. Jeff Ding, Helen Chui, and their daughters Alice and Nancy were all stabbed to death. Detectives have now said that Anxiang Du, the business associate to Helen Chui is the main suspect. “When Mr. Du left home went to his business premises, he did leave what appeared to be a suicide note of some description. And the suicide note was written in his native language which was believed to be Mandarin. We had a basic translation of that doing and it appeared to be saying goodbye.” Mr. Du lives in Coventry, was last seen leaving home for work at 10:30 on Friday morning. Police also have a possible sighting of him near his herbal remedy store in a Birmingham shopping centre. It’s thought he may be with the silver Vauxhall Corsa hired by the Ding family, while their car was being repaired. That also hasn’t been seen since Friday. The search for Anxiang Du continues. The head teachers of both Alice and Nancy Ding’s schools express their shock of what’s happened. “The family were a respected family, and well-known in the community, and great participants. Both of the girls were accomplished musicians. ” 18-year-old Nancy was a straight-A student with hopes of studying at Cambridge University. “Most of all, she was just a wonderful girl and she was loved by all of the girls in school. She had many friends in the sixth form, but also younger girls who admired her looked up to her.” Meanwhile, many people who have laid flowers outside the family home and left tributes on Facebook. Detectives are still withholding many details about the precise dealings with Anxiang Du, the one they believe is key to the murders of an entire family in this quiet cul-de-sac.
