Hello, Jessica Askin with the National Weather. The satellite image is showing some patchy clouds skimming the South Australian Coast in a weak trough, which is causing some showers there. More cloud cover over WA ahead of a cold front is bringing rain and isolated thunderstorms to the west, while onshore winds are causing a few showers in Tasmania. Around the states now, and a mostly fine day for Queensland, apart from some isolated showers along the Tropical Coast. New South Wales can expect to fine and sunny weather throughout, with very hot and dry temperatures especially in the west. Another dry and mainly sunny morning for Victoria, patchy rain and a few isolated thunderstorms will develop above the Southwest in the afternoon. There will be some showers in Tasmania, but mainly above the north and west, with possible thunderstorms above the Southwest. South Australia can expect some isolated rainfall over Kangaroo Island and the southeast district which will extend south throughout the day. More patchy rain for WA, mainly in the south and east coast district, but it should start to clear in the afternoon. A fine and mostly sunny day in the top end with some very warm temperatures for Katherine. Around the major centres for Sunday now, some rain is expected for Perth and Melbourne, a hot and sunny day in Sydney with a top of 30 degrees and a top of 35 degrees in Darwin. |
