Rupert Murdoch has launched a stinging attack on Google, accusing them of stealing content. The News Corporation's chairman took aim at the internet parasites at a conference of world media executives in Beijing. He says the time has come for online entities such as search engines to pay for online content. Telstra intends to fight government plans to split it in two. The telecommunication's giant says the breaking up of the company will hurt consumers and shareholders alike. "Members are angry. And they want shareholder, in fact, they...they want Telstra to take this line. They want Telstra to stand up and be counted." Telstra's competitors say the counter-attack is only a matter of time. "Particularly it made by their claim that competition in Australia is healthy. I mean this...this claim simply fails to look at the Window Test." A government spokesman says communications with Telstra are still positive. In the US, Tech shares have pushed Wall Street higher. Stocks rose as investors anticipated some positive news out of next week's earnings reports.
