Hello, Kathryn Stolarchuk with the National Weather. A high pressure system is driving onshore winds and cloud over the southeast coast is causing the odd shower over western Tasmania. That high is keeping skies clear across most of the country, but some patchy cloud above the New South Wales coast is triggering a little rain. In Queensland, there will be some rain above the east coast in the morning. Showers will develop over eastern inland districts in the afternoon with one or two thunderstorms on the way. A little rain is expected above the central and northern New South Wales coasts. Later it will clear from the south. Rain and drizzle along Victoria’s coast will clear to a cloudy afternoon. It should be a fine and mostly sunny day inland. Down to Tasmania, there will be rain mostly above the west and south. In South Australia, the drizzle above the southeast coast will clear by the afternoon. Across the Western Australia now, it should be mostly fine throughout the state with just a little cloud over the southwest. And it’s also fine and dry throughout the Territory, but there is an extreme fire warning for northern parts where it’s going to be a hot day. Looking ahead to Monday’s forecast now, there will be some rain in Perth, Cloudy conditions for Cairns, Brisbane, Sydney and Hobart. And it’s looking fine and sunny for Darwin, Canberra, Melbourne and Adelaide, where it will reach a top of 27 degrees. |
