Hello, Nick Dole with the National Weather.
Taking a look at the satellite image first, and cloud sweeping through South Australia and western Victoria is producing rain and a few storms. Unstable air in cloud in the tropics is generating widespread scattered rainfall. And patchy cloud over the east coast is bringing a few showers.
To the states now, an overcast day’s on the way for Queensland today with showers above the east coast and isolated afternoon showers across the interior.
Some showers for New South Wales, mostly along the central and north coasts and adjacent ranges. It will be fine elsewhere though.
Mostly cloudy in Victoria with some isolated showers in the west and a chance of an afternoon thunderstorm in the southwest.
A fine day ahead for Tasmania, apart from some scattered morning fog mainly above inland areas. It will be cool in the morning, but otherwise a mild to warm day with afternoon coastal sea breezes.
A mostly fine day's forecast for South Australia with a few isolated showers mainly in the central districts.
A fine start for WA, but there could be a few thunderstorms and showers over much of the state during the afternoon.
Further north, isolated showers and storms north of Elliott and along the eastern border of the Territory. Fine and mostly sunny to the south.
And looking ahead, a few showers tomorrow for Brisbane and Sydney, cloudy in Melbourne and Adelaide, a fine day's on the way for Hobart and Perth and some afternoon showers for Darwin. |
