West Australian Treasurer Troy Buswell is facing mounting pressure to resign. Mr. Buswell has admitted he misused parliamentary entitlements during his four-month affair with State Greens MP Adele Carles. Premier Colin Barnett is considering Mr. Buswell's future and will address the media today.
And still in West Australia, the number of children under five who've become sick after having flu vaccinations has risen to more than 250 now. The Health Department says 55 children have had convulsions and almost 200 others have suffered fever and vomiting. Last week vaccinations were suspended for children under five because of reports of sickness.
The man accused of masterminding Melbourne Storm's salary cap breaches says he will reveal all he knows about the scandal if there is a public inquiry. Former Storm chief executive Brian Waldron also says he's prepared to tell Rupert Murdoch about News Limited's role in the scandal.
The Federal Opposition has called for a Royal Commission into the Government's failed insulation scheme. The Opposition environment spokesman Greg Hunt also says the families of the four installers who died deserve an apology. And ABC Four Corners investigation found Environment Department officials were warned that without proper training, installers were at risk of electrocution. |
