Around the country now, low cloud is lingering over southeast Australia and cool southwest winds bringing a few showers to the southeast states. Ragged cloud drifting over the interior in moist winds aloft is not producing rain.

Up to the states now. And Queensland can expect a little patchy rain above the southern tropical coast. Very isolated showers also developing over the southeast. In New South Wales, there is a chance of showers along the north coast. It should be mostly sunny elsewhere. Early frost above the ranges and western slopes.

Morning frosts and fog for Victoria and then mostly sunny day with isolated showers near the coast clearing in the afternoon.

Early showers in the far south of Tasmania and then fine until showers develop inland during the day.

In South Australia, it should be mainly fine with morning frost and fog patches. Cool in the south with generally light winds.

Looking west now, and some scattered showers are expected.

And in the Northern Territory, it should be fine and dry and mostly sunny throughout.

Looking ahead now, it will be cloudy Monday for most of the capitals. But it should be fine in Melbourne and a top of just 15 degrees in Canberra.
