Cloud over central and eastern Australia is bringing some rain as humid tropical air is drawn into a developing trough. There will also be isolated showers over the southeast from low cloud being driven over in southwesterly winds. Queensland can expect a cloudy cool day with rain areas over the west and south, and scattered showers over the tropical coast. Falls will contract to the central and southern interior during the day. Cloudy in the north New South Wales with patchy rain in the northeast. Partly cloudy elsewhere. A fine and mostly sunny day over Victoria's north, isolated showers over southern districts. To Tasmania, scattered showers above the west and south, extending to central areas during the day.
