Taking a look at the weather, and cloud is lingering over eastern Queensland and far northeast in New South Wales in a trough triggering heavy rain and storms. Meanwhile, cloud streaming over Western Australia in a trough is delivering scattered showers. Around the states now, Queensland can expect areas of rain and thunderstorms in a band extending from the tropical coast into the central interior. Isolated showers about the northern coast of New South Wales, afternoon showers and possible thunderstorms developing in the far southeast. Isolated showers in Victoria are expected during the morning. Showers and thunderstorms are predicted about the eastern ranges later in the day.
Morning showers also for Tasmania in the state's southeast, south and east. Isolated falls developing above the north and central plateau during the afternoon.
