3. Police in California say a man is being held on $500000 bail on suspicion of making death threats against Senator Barbara Boxer. He's identified as Kevin Joseph O'Connell. Police say the threats were left on Boxer's office voicemail.
 
 
4. Spaniards gave one another a good soaking during the annual water festival. It's known as the battle of the water and has been a tradition for some 30 years. Festival goers use water pistols, buckets and pots, refilling their vessels with water thrown off balconies.
