There is cloud stretching through western Queensland and New South Wales in a weakening trough. It is causing patchy rain and a few storms. Another trough extending through Western Australia is causing light showers. In Queensland today, monsoonal rain areas and thunderstorms continue through the northern tropics with some locally heavy falls. It's mostly fine elsewhere.
In New South Wales, there's a chance of isolated showers over the central ranges and the northwest. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. A sunny afternoon ahead for Victoria after some isolated morning drizzle. There will be light to moderate west to southwesterly winds and afternoon coastal seabreezes.
In Tasmania, scattered showers above the west are predicted before clearing later in the day. There will also be moderate to fresh, west to northwest winds. Across to South Australia now, isolated afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms are predicted in the northeast. It's gonna be warm in the south and hot in the north and west.
In WA, scattered showers in the afternoon and evening. And further north, the monsoon trough is expected to remain active, causing showers and storms in the north.
