2. Polygamist leader Warren Jeffs has been sentenced to life in prison for sexually assaulting two underage followers he took as brides. During the trail, prosecutors used DNA evidence to show Jeffs fathered a child with a 15-year-old. He played an audio recording of what they said was him sexually assaulting a 12-year-old.

 

3. Police in London plan to fill with the streets with 16,000 officers by day’s end. As part of the effort to stop the rioting that's raged since Saturday, it’s three times as many officers as were on duty yesterday.

 

4. A rare sand cat has been born at a zoo in Tel Aviv. The species used to common in the region, but is now extinct in the wild. Keepers hope to add it to a breeding program.
