1. The roads in and out of many Vermont communities are still cut off by flooding after hurricane Irene. About 260 roads in Vermont are closed by storm damage along with about 30 highway bridges. National Guard helicopters are taking food and water. 2. The impact of hurricane Irene is going to be felt for quite some time along the East Coast. More than 2.5 million people are still without power. The storm has been blamed for more than 40 deaths.
3. A spokesman says the Libyan rebels have a good idea where Mummar Gadhafi is and they are confident they will catch him. The rebels are hunting for Gadhafi. There’re worries that he can continue to stoke violence.
4. LA prosecutors expect to charge Javaris Crittenton with being a fugitive from justice. The former NBA player was arrested late Monday in California. Atlanta authorities have a murder warrant for Crittenton in the shooting this month of a 22-year-old woman. |
