The weather satellite image shows thick cloud spreading across WA and into South Australia along a broad trough is creating rain and thunderstorms. Cloud is stretching across Queensland and New South Wales along another trough bringing thundery showers. Skies are mostly clear elsewhere. A look around the states, in Queensland, showers and storms will occur over most of the state with only southern coastal districts remaining fine. Areas of thundery rain will hit the southern interior during the morning.
In New South Wales, it'll be fine along the central and northern coasts with showers and thunderstorms developing at the most remainder, particularly west of the divide. There will be hot northwest winds inland.
A hot day for Victoria with isolated showers and thunderstorms developing over the southwest during the morning and extending throughout in the afternoon.
In Tasmania, showers will develop about the west from late morning and extend to most parts of the state during the afternoon.
South Australia will see showers and thunderstorms moving from the west to affect areas east of a line from Ceduna to Coober Pedy.
Isolated showers and thunderstorms will cover most of Western Australian with temperature slightly cooler than average in the south, and hot in the north. And in the Northern Territory, it'll be mostly sunny in the southwest with isolated showers and storms elsewhere. |
