M: Yes,although We want to keep our inventory at a minimum. F: If you have a large inventory of computers, you have more control. M: More control and more expense. F: Many companies operate efficiently with large inventories. M: I bet they aren’t in the high-tech industry.( I bet…我保证) F: You mean that high-tech industries like computers change too quickly? M: Exactly, I don't want inventory of last year’s products. Q:What is the advantage of have a large inventory. A:more control. Dialog 3 Outdated=obsolete(被废弃淘汰的)= out of date F: old inventory won’t sell. M: not in this industry.our inventory never gathers dust. F: You’re concerned about your products becoming outdated. M: That’s right, This industry is changing so quickly it’s hard to keep up with. F: The technology is changing and that leads to new development. M: New products are developed constantly and computers on the shelf(区别off the shelf) are becoming virtually obsolete. F: Customers want the newest and the fastest. M: No problem, but meanwhile our inventory is losing 1% of its value every week. Q: Why does inventory become obsolete? A: New products are developed constantly.
