 Checking the weather now, and ex-tropical cyclone Heidi is causing rain of Western Australia while a trough stretching through Queensland and Top End is bringing a few showers and storms. Taking a look at the states. And a wet day for most of Queensland, including over the central coast and the southeast region. Showers and storms over the northern and central and eastern part of the state. 

 
New South Wales can expect some rain and thunderstorms in the northeast region and over the southern coast. It’ll be mostly fine and sunny in the west.
 
A fine day in northern Victoria with light showers in the south which will clear in the afternoon. It will be a warm and sunny day in the north. 
 
In Tasmania, there’ll be scattered afternoon rain around the western and southern areas. Mostly fine elsewhere, apart from a chance of showers around the northeast region. 
 
Fine in South Australia, except for some isolated rain in the far northwest. There’ll be some morning showers over the lower southeast region and Kangroo Island.\
 
Over in Western Australia, Perth can expect some showers and thunderstorms. It will be rainy and stormy over the remainder of the state. 
 
And there’ll be scattered showers and storms over the Top End. It will be dry and hot over the interior. 
 
Looking ahead to tomorrow’s forecast: showers for Sydney, Brisbane, Canberra and Darwin. Cloudy in Melbourne and Hobart. Sunny in Adelaide with a top of 31 degrees.
