万花筒 2011-11-05&11-08 限量版纹身芭比:家长说不(在线收听

I'm gonna move on to the new Barbie doll, we first told you about last week. Her pink hair, leopard skin leggings, and those tattoos you see even on her back. Parents up in arms.  And Andrew Kantin is here with more on the controversy. Thank you, all right. (yeah)

And here she is,George, this is her and see cover all way down her back, her chest, her arms in tattoo, so Mattel, they described the new tattooed Barbie as a funky fashioning stuffy feature in 20 body art. But some moms just called it tacky, and a bad influence.

Short skirts and heavy makeup all come with impossibly tiny waist, long legs, and generous bust.

I really think that Barbie is showing influence on girls like that, it's because they wanna be like her.

Let's start with this tattooed Barbie, what do you guys think ?

I think it's ok for Barbie to get tattoos, then little girls may want to dream about getting a tattoo when they are older, so I don't think it's a smart idea.

Obviously, Mattel does not raise my daughter as I do. Um, but I do think that this image just like the medium, it, it all matters. And that even this little thing, the things that they play with are sending them messages, and it's very very powerful.

I love it. hehe...

Why do you love it?

I have tattoos, father has tattooed for, a lot of us have tattoos.

Some experts say in real life young girls do take a cue from dolls and their cartoon counterparts, especially when it comes to body image, and their own fashion choices.

When little girls get Barbies that have not just tattoos, but tattoos all over their entire bodies. You know, it does influence them in terms of thinking what's beautiful or what's cool looking.

And when moms and daughters may disagree.

I don't think we can make such a big deal out of choice

What happen to letting little girls be little girls.

This latest tension over tattoos proves even after 50 years. Barbie is still setting trends.

Mattel released a statement to GMA saying the doll is meant for collectors. Barbie has been dressed by more than 70 fashion designers over the years from Versach to Vil Win. Barbie has spotted an endless arrays of styles, many  Barbies, most pop culture couture outfits have been designed for the adult collector, some the moms were upset, saying just cause it's for adult, it doesn't mean kids aren't going to want it.

But it comes at very adult price.

Well, it's. uh, the doll is about 40 dollars, however, it is completely sold out. We had to buy this one on eBay, guess, how much?

I'm not going to guess.

$500 (wow...) but this Barbie, (sorry girls) hehe.
