1. A US Airways flight from Paris to Charlotte, North Carolina was diverted Bangor, Maine Tuesday after an apparently mentally unstable French passenger announced she had a surgically implanted device. After the passenger was taken into custody, the flight was cleared to resume. 2. Joplin, Missouri is marking the one year anniversary of the deadly tornado with memorial services for the victims and rebuilding efforts. Last year's tornado killed 161 people, and destroyed one third of the city.
3. Federal regulators told a Congressional panel Tuesday that they are reviewing what JP Morgan Chase told investors about its finances and the risks it took weeks before suffering a multi-billion dollar trading loss.
4. Joe Paterno's widow will be getting a State pension of 13.4 million dollars for a 61-year coaching career at Penn State. A family spokesman says Sue Paterno will get an initial payment of 10.1 million this month, with the rest to be paid out over the next two years. |
