Leading the news this morning. Greece's president has until Thursday to create a government before he must call fresh elections. He is now talking with the smaller party after the anti-bailout party Syriza rejected any compromise. Opinion polls suggest Syriza could now lead a coalition threatening Greece's membership of the Europe.
Police in Mexico has discovered the mutilated bodies of 49 people stuffed in the plastic bags and dumped on an isolated highway. The bodies were found in the northern city of Monterrey. Police say the killings are linked to a few between rival drug gangs.
The Climate Commissions says New South Wales must urgently move to renewable energy. It predicts extreme heat waves, long bush-fire seasons and rising sea levels for the state by the end of the century. The Commission is calling for more investment in clean energy alternatives.
