哈曼赢得终身禁赛的上诉(在线收听) |
Mohamed Bin Hammam successfully appealed his lifetime ban from football. The former FIFA presidential candidate had the ruling overturned at a Court of Arbitration for Sport hearing in Lausanne, Switzerland on Thursday. The CAS found that there was insufficient evidence to uphold FIFA’s decision, which barred Bin Hammam from being involved in any kind of football-related activity for life. The court stressed that it reached the decision due to lack of proof and that the verdict did not indicate any "affirmative finding of innocence". Hammam was suspended following a leaked report that four Caribbean Football Union Association delegates saw him involved in cash exchanges, or were offered money to back him. The FIFA report was said to show convincing evidence that Bin Hammam had paid officials to support his Presidential bid. The former head of the Asian Football Confederation was then accused of trying to buy votes, less than a month after withdrawing from the FIFA Presidential race against current president Sepp Blatter. The lifetime ban was in effect for a little less than a year. |
