Galliani allows more time for AC Milan coach Allegri MILAN, Sept. 20 (Xinhua) -- AC Milan club vice president Adriano Galliani insisted Thursday that the Rossoneri head coach Massimiliano Allegri has not been given one game to save his job. Local reports this week have suggested that President Silvio Berlusconi wanted to sack Allegri following his side's 0-0 draw with Anderlecht on Tuesday in a Champions League group match.
But Galliani is understood to have convinced him to give Allegri more time, starting with this weekend's game against Udinese.
"Any coach in the world would be at risk if he lost 10 games in a row, but that's not the case here and we don't want it to happen to us," Galliani noted.
"The faith that we have in Allegri won't expire on Sunday in Udine.
"As for Berlusconi, I have known each other for 33 years so there is no possibility of any misunderstanding between us," he added. |
