Madame Tussauds HK includes 1st mainland actor BEIJING, Nov. 14 (Xinhua) -- Huang Xiaoming is to become the first Chinese mainland actor to be honored with a model of his likeness in Hong Kong's Madame Tussauds, according to a news release posted on the museum's website. Before Huang's wax figure is officially unveiled at the attraction in December, the museum will display a version based upon his role in "Xue Di Zi," or "The Guillotines," at Harbor City in Hong Kong in early December, the museum said.
Huang plays a leader of shepherds fighting against a special force run by the government in the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) in the action thriller, which is directed by Andrew Lau.
The film, also starring Taiwanese actor Ethan Ruan, will open in mainland cinemas on Dec. 20.
Huang said on Tuesday that the measuring for the wax figure, dressed in a white robe, took about seven hours. |
