1. The family of a Sikh temple president fatally shot along with five others is arranging a joint funeral service. Relatives say the memorial service on Friday morning is open to the community. The victims were gunned down Sunday at a suburban Milwaukee temple. 2. Former Congresswoman Gabriele Giffords says she satisfied with Jared Lee Loughner's plea deal. Loughner pleaded guilty today to killing six people and wounding Giffords and 12 others. The deadly rampage happened last year at one of Giffords' political events.
3. A blaze at one the country's biggest oil refineries could push gas prices above four dollars a gallon on the west coast. That's according to experts. The fire sent plumes of black smoke over the San Francisco Bay area.
4. Aly Raisman is going home with two gold metals. The US captain won the title on floor exercise today. She also got a bronze on the balance beam. It's the first Olympic gold on floor exercise for a US woman. |
