1. The jury in one of the biggest technology disputes in history is expected to hear closing arguments Tuesday from lawyers for Apple and Samsung. Apple accused Samsung of copying iPhone and iPad technology. Samsung lawyers countered that others had previously developed much of the technology at issue. 2. A military official says the plane of the chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff was damaged in an attack by militants who fired rockets into a US base in Afghanistan. No one was injured and Army General Martin Dempsey was not near the plane and has since departed.
3. Kansas Congressman Kevin Yoder has apologized for the ten-second naked plunge into the sea where the Bible says Jesus walked on water. His dip into the Sea of Galilee brought head-shaking from other Republicans.
4. And tourists have been flocking to California's Monterey Bay to catch a glimpse of an influx of massive whales including blue whales, the largest animals on earth. Officials say the invasion is due to a bumper harvest of shrimp-like critters known as krill, their favorite food. |
