A deep Tasman low is sending strong cold winds through Victoria and New South Wales, causing showers and Alpine snow. A frontier is drawing a coolest southwest change into southern Queensland. Around the states.
In Queensland, isolated showers over parts of the far north. Fine and mostly sunny over the remainder of the state.
To New South Wales, cold blustery winds easing in the west with snows on the Alps and showers about the ranges and southern coast. Partly cloudy elsewhere.
In Victoria, rain across central and eastern areas with local heavy falls possible over Gippsland.
Tasmania can expect a cold start with snowfalls about the highest peaks and local morning frost. Then a cool day with lengthy sunny periods in the north.
In South Australia, a cold morning with isolated showers over the agricultural areas, central, southeast, and Merrylands Districts.
Over the western Australia, sunny over most of the state with some high cloud clearing in the southeast. Warmer in the west.
And to the Top End, mostly sunny apart from some morning fog and low cloud over the coastal areas.
Looking ahead to tomorrow. Sunny in Brisbane and Darwin. Partly cloudy in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth. Early fog in Canberra. A possible morning shower in Hobart. And a shower or two in Adelaide. |
