HOUSTON, Jan. 11 (Xinhua) -- An American Airlines plane from Las Vegas, Nevada, and bound for Dallas, a city in the U.S. state of Texas, made an emergency landing Friday in the U.S. state of New Mexico after a problem was found with one of its generators, local media reported. The plane, which was said to be operating its Flight 1868, landed safely at the Albuquerque International Sunport, local media reports quoted American Airlines spokesman Matt Miller as saying.
Passenger were informed of the problematic generator and the failure of the backup generator. There were 140 passengers on the plane, plus a crew of five. No injuries were reported. No other information was available.
The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration was investigating into the mishap, according to FAA spokesman Lynn Lunsford. |
