Celebrations are continuing after the Sydney swans the thrilling AFL grand victory over Hawthorn. It was a close contest with the Hawks ahead early in the fourth quarter. But Swans dug deep, scoring the last four goals to take the game by ten points. Swans are hosting two * today to share their victory with supporters in Sydney and Melbourne. Veteran Sydney broadcaster Alan Jones has launched a verbal attack on Julia Gillard, saying her father died of shame because of his daughter's political lies. Mr Alan made the comment during a speech in young liberals' dinner in Sydney last Saturday night, just weeks after Mr Gillard's death. Liberal MP Mark Turnbull has described the comment as cruel and offensive and says the broadcaster should apologize.
Ten people has died in Spain and hundreds have been forced from their homes after flash floods swept through the country's south. Torrential rain has inundated parts of the Analusia region after months of draught and high temperatures which triggered wild fires.
