 So more finance news and the owner of Channel Nine is expected to meet creditors again this morning to try to determine the future of the debt-ridden company. Nine Entertainment owes its lenders more than 3 billion dollars. Yesterday, Nine boss David Gyngelland and other executives met representatives of U.S. hedge funds Oak Tree and Apollo and the investment bank Goldman Sachs. The ABC understands there has been progress towards a resolution, but no final deal has yet been reached. 

 
The European Union has ordered Google to revise its privacy policy or face legal action. It says Google needs to give clearer guidance about what information it collects and for what purpose. Last March,Google consolidated its 60 separate privacy policies into one single agreement. But the European Union's investigators say the agreement's far too general.

And the Dow is up 116 points. The Nasdaq leapt ahead 36 points. The S&P 500 gained 15. In London overnight, the FTSE got a boost of 65 points.

West Texas Crude is trading at 92 US dollars a barrel. Tapis Crude is trading at 120 US dollars a barrel. And gold is worth 1747 US dollars an ounce.
 
The Australian dollar is buying 103 US cents, 79 Euro cents and 64 pence sterling.
