相关介绍 ：Shaggy出生於牙买加京士顿市，他小时候被朋友仔以着名电视卡通《Scooby Doo》主角无胆狗Scooby的傻佬主人Shaggy来为他改花名。18岁时，他从牙买加移居往纽约布克林区。此后他便专注於其音乐事业发展，曾推出过〈Mampie〉和〈Big Up〉等reggae榜hit歌。1988年，Shaggy加入美国海军，更曾在海湾战争中服役。
退伍后的Shaggy在1993年推出首张大碟《Pure Pleasure》，迅速获得乐迷的注意，其中一首single〈Oh Carolina〉更成为英国流行乐史上其中一首最受欢迎的劲歌。1995年推出大碟《Boombastic》，更在美国取得佳绩，成为1995年格林美奖最佳reggae大碟。此后Shaggy星运渐隆，更获邀为《生死时速2》、《暴劫快车》等影片创作插曲。
