[00:11.69]It’s true. You really can’t love somebody to death.

[00:16.17]I’ve known people to die from no love, 

[00:19.41]but I’ve never known anyone to be loved to death.

[00:23.39]We just can’t love one another enough.

[00:26.57]A heart-warming story tells of a woman 

[00:30.15]who finally decided to ask her boss for a raise in salary.

[00:34.56]All day she felt nervous and apprehensive.

[00:38.50]Late in the afternoon she summoned the courage to approach her employer.

[00:43.85]To her delight, the boss agreed to a raise.

[00:47.80]The woman arrived home that evening 

[00:50.68]to a beautiful table set with their best dishes.

[00:54.25]Candles were softly glowing. 

[00:57.24]Her husband had come home early and prepared a festive meal.

[01:02.35]She wondered if someone from the office had tipped him off,

[01:06.83]or... did he just somehow know that she would not get turned down?

[01:11.97]She found him in the kitchen and told him the good news.

[01:15.91]They embraced and kissed, then sat down to the wonderful meal.

[01:20.51]Next to her plate the woman found a beautifully lettered note.

[01:25.21]It read: “Congratulations, darling! I knew you’d get the raise!

[01:30.79]These things will tell you how much I love you.”

[01:34.29]Following the supper, her husband went into the kitchen to clean up.

[01:39.10]She noticed that a second card had fallen from his pocket.

[01:43.59]Picking it off the floor, she read: “Don’t worry about not getting the raise!

[01:49.72]You deserve it anyway! These things will tell you how much I love you.”

[01:54.86]Someone has said that the measure of love is when you love without measure.

[02:00.11]What this man feels for his spouse is total acceptance and love, 

[02:05.53]whether she succeeds or fails.

[02:08.21]His love celebrates her victories and soothes her wounds.

[02:12.36]He stands with her, no matter what life throws in their direction.

[02:17.18]Upon receiving the Nobel Peace Prize, Mother Teresa said:

[02:21.88]“What can you do to promote world peace? Go home and love your family.”

[02:28.01]And love your friends. Love them without measure.
