英闻天下——358 China's Manufacturing PMI Drops in Feb.(在线收听

Latest figures are showing a decline in the growth of China's manufacturing sector which means the country's recovery could be slowing down.

The official Purchasing Manager's Index – or the PMI for February fell to 50.1 percent from the previous month's reading of 50.4.

This is still the 5th consecutive month for the PMI to finish above the midway 50 mark which indicates expansion, but the decline from January also shows a slower pace of growth.

The China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing though says the Chinese economy is still on course for stabilization.

And that the fall in purchasing recorded for February was mainly due to the Spring Festival holiday falling on that month.
